Confirmed Arsenal team for Swansea clash

The starting teams have been announced for today’s home tie with Swansea City, and there are no shocks from the Arsenal side.

Arsenal come into the match in top form, and will be looking to continue that after the international break. I have not come across a single player who didn’t enjoy at least one win with their respective sides, with Alex Iwobi notching a goal in World Cup qualifying for Nigeria, and Mesut Ozil grabbing an assist for Germany.

We will be confident coming into today’s game after a string of impressive wins, while our opponents have to deal with a string of losses and a change of manager, with Bob Bradley having come in to replace the binned Francisco Guidolin.

Francis Coquelin has been made available to return to action this weekend, while Mesut Ozil has returned to us fully fit despite having to be hauled off for his country. Despite the Frenchman’s availability, we have named an unchanged XI from our recent wins.

Confirmed team:

Cech
Bellerin  Mustafi  Koscielny  Monreal
Xhaka    Cazorla
Walcott    Ozil        Iwobi
Sanchez

We should be confident of grabbing all the points against almost anyone on present performances, and today will be no different.

Is this the team you would have picked to secure the three points today?

  1. How come Debruyne had hamstring injury and under three weeks he’s playing again, while Arsenal’s Ramsey keeps having “setbacks”

  2. Goal!!!! Walcott was looking out of touch and suddenly he took advantage of defender’s mistake.

  3. Start concentrating, long way to go.

We need to stay sharp and continue attacking and score at least one more.

  4. More goals for us in second half please
Or at least maintain the score

Let’s have a wonderful weekend and week 🙂

    COYG

  5. The third time I am seeing this AlexOzil combination leading to a goal in 5 matches. Beauty of a goal. Go and ask Watcord, Chelsea and now Swansea.mCOYG!

  6. Mesut!!!!!!
I’m jumping on the sofa and if I break a leg I will still be happy.

    More goals LOL

  7. The third time I am seeing this AlexOzil combination leading to a goal in 5 matches. Beauty of a goal. Go and ask Watford, Chelsea and now Swansea.mCOYG!

  8. If score remains same for another 10 mins then Wenger should substitute Alexis, He needs rest and Lucas will also get some game time.

    1. Your betting against your own team? Shit, man if your that hard up, I’ll give you the cash. Arsenal need to win this and win this well.

  9. He definitely deserved that, cynical mean guaranteed yellow, the fact that it was so late and pretty bad in general on top of that means good chance of red.

Now we bring in Coq and close out the game properly.

  10. Dismal display by Xhaka! Gave away a goal and a stupid foul. Really hope we hang on to the lead.

  11. Wenger has started this his stupidity that I hate, why did he remove Iwobi who came back early after the break,he should have removed Xhaka for Le coq its a simple arithmetic

  12. This will be so disappointing if they get a draw when City are tied having missed two penalties and Tottenham held to draw as well (nvm the fact we could be/should be 3 goals up).

    1. I agree, one or two matches just to see if Gibbs can step up because Monreal hasn’t been his usually consistently good self this season so far.

  13. Bad game for Xhakha but it happens to everyone. The red card seemed a little harsh though. Should bring in Gibbs to help cover for Monreal, Barrow is causing all sorts of trouble

  14. Should have been a hatrick for Theo. Good game, a few errors but expected as we are playing a very fast attacking game. Loving Sanchez upfront.

  15. made more complicated than necessary, but 3 points all that matters. Theo can’t complain, wish he grabbed a hattrick, but ah well. Xhaka… always bound to pick up RC’s this season, needs to stop being so reckless. Good thing it didn’t cost us points.

    1. Xhaka just missed his chance to get ahead of Coquelin there. Remove the 35 yard screamers, Xhaka is no better than Coquelin really.

      1. his long balls are very welcomed. He created several good chances from them, we’ll miss that. But yes, he really messed up his chance to challenge Coquelin with that.

    2. Should’ve been yellow. How many times have we heard take one for the team, it wasn’t dangerous or reckless, which you see allot of in this league. It was cynical alright but that’s what taking one for the team is.

      1. kick was close to the knee tho which makes it more dangerous. If it was just shin, i think it would’ve been yellow. Waiting for replay

  16. Walcott easily man of the match: two goals, two post shots (one was a sitter) and one sitter at Fabianski. Yeh, yeh, people are going to complain that he missed all these easy chances, but if you get yourself in the position to have that many good chances and come close on most of them you should get the recognition.

    1. Nobody can really complain, he still scored 2. But will defintely be kicking himself he didn’t put that last one in. Theo renaissance continues tho, who saw this coming?

  17. We made it difficult alright, but the points are all that matters, city & spu both drawing makes them even sweeter.

  18. Agonising stuff … the points are all that matters in this one … no one really at their best today … bellerin probably best for us today … wenger has to teach these players how to press though if he wants to move to the next level …

  19. That table though…. xhaka’s red card was defiantly harsh, I thought old john moss was crap today. Great win though, shaky defending but due to the bad finishing of swansey, we made it 🙂 so happy with the result!

  20. I told you guys they start showboating when with a 2 goal lead, did it against Chelsea, Basel and today at 3-1.

Red card was wrong decision but if were to concede a third you can’t say it would’ve been completely because of the ref, because 2 came when it was 11v11.

Poor management as well, you can clearly see Monreal can’t deal with pacey players

The mentality still hasn’t changed in this team…well completely.

I think Bellerin is MOTM Despite Walcott scoring 2. Walcott could’ve got 6, 2 he missed and the other 2 he could’ve easily been onside 1v1 when he was offside.
