Rambo – OF COURSE Arsenal can score three goals!

Just about every single Arsenal player and his dog are giving out positive vibes ahead of tomorrows return leg in Monaco, and I’m sure it is all part of Wenger’s strategy to increase morale and confidence AND it will certainly be worrying Monaco to hear that their opponents are in such a buoyant mood.

The lastest Gunner to speak out is the Welshman Aaron Ramsey, who came back to his old excellent form in our latest win against West Ham. He believes that we can emulate the 3-0 scoreline over the Hammers tomorrow night. “We will go there and try to score three or more goals and hopefully not concede any, that is our target and is how we will approach it,” Ramsey said on SkySports.

“We had a sloppy first leg and we have made it quite difficult for ourselves, but it is not over yet.

“We are more than capable of scoring three goals. We scored three on Saturday and we believe in ourselves.

“So we will go into the game believing we can achieve that.”

Ramsey is confident we can score goals, but Calum Chambers prefers to concentrate on keeping a clean sheet again (well he is a defender!). The youngster has also kept to the postivity emanating from the team. In fact I think that Calum has won the award for the most uses of the word ‘positive’ in his statement!

“Getting a clean sheet is always a positive for us defenders and for the whole team,” Chambers said on the Official Arsenal website. “We knew it would be a tough game because West Ham are a good side but I thought we played well, kept strong and got the goals we needed.

“Aaron Ramsey got himself a goal and he had a great performance. He’s a quality player and let’s hope it keeps going.

“Olivier Giroud is another quality player. He scores lots of goals so it’s always a positive to have goalscorers in the team.

“We’ve got a lot of confidence and we’re building momentum in the league. We’re getting a lot of good results and we’ve just got to keep the positive vibe and keep getting the results we need.”

Surely the whole team must now have joined in the positive statements and have the BELIEF that we can win. All that remains is for them to believe themselves and go out and do it!

  1. what makes us dangerous is that we dont have anything to lose now, our team preforms way better when there is no pressure, many belives we are out, thats where our stranght lies. i bet even monaco thinks we cant do it, reading some comments from france, they actually belive franch league is on the same level with EPL LOL, cant wait for game!!!

  2. Rambo was excellent against WH

Please perform the same or better (if he plays). Wenger may decide to start Cazorla instead.

Whoever plays, we still have a decent shot at going through. I won’t be surprised if we go through but will be totally elated.

Will cap of a fabulous week

Beat United at Old Trafford making the Semis
Beat West Ham 3-0 (city and spurs losing, Chelski drawing)
Beat Monaco and qualify for next round of CL (hopefully)

  3. Rambo IMO can be a world class player.
Yes when he is poor he is piss like.
But if he can rediscover the form and run he had lastly year ands obtain it (injury free) he will be sought by Europes biggest clubs. He has oodles of natural ability and an instinct you can’t learn and I would go as far to say as he is capable of becoming a Ballon D’or winner (if it wasn’t just strikers who were recognised).

    Come on RAMBO &

@jonestown before you make your usual snide remark in response to other people’s opinions why don’t you try forming one of your own and posting it?

  4. the truth is we didn’t play to our potenials we had a bad night monaco didn’t play us at our best i certainly believe that we can rescue this tie after seeing schalke vs real mardid it only god that save them from not going out and monaco are certainly no mardid and we where guilty of under estaimating monaco last time because of having bayern and barca n previous knckout stages we thought it would be easier which i though as well but the difference is we are hitting form at the right time i think a key in this game will be stopping kondogbia if we can shut him out monaco will struggle to play .

  5. I hopes that the Arsenal stuffs them Monacos 15-0, 16-3 on aggregate would be very good yesh?

  6. Talking positive is fine, but need to also play positive on the night.

Maybe a good pep talk before the game will help charge the team.

For 90 mins plus, play positively, play hard, play with passion and concentration. If you believe in yourself and your team and work hard, your quality will handle itself and good things will happen.

    We believe in you

    1. What do you know that we don’t Fred!?
A ‘pep’ talk! Nice of Bayern to help us out with the loan before a permanent move.

  7. I thinks that a good starts tomorrow in Monacos is very important, yesh?

If Arsenals is behind 3-0 after 10 minutes I thinks we might struggles.

  8. We never get tired of our overconfidence against d minnows!
Over d past few seasons we hav been knocked out of ucl by just one goal, or even on away goals. We clearly need to go wid a plan into d game. To get a goal in d first half is absolutely critical along wid a clean sheet. I think it will be essential dat we do not play too much around dete box because dey excellent at getting compact and clearing d danger. Any kind of goal will work today!! Stunning goals, scrappy goals, headed goals, goals out of nothing, own goals, team goals, individual goals, but atleast 3 goals!!

  9. The first tie against Monaco summed up: we had better individuals but they played better as a TEAM. If we go into the tie and play well as a team we will beat them. Three goals against Monaco is definitely obtainable for us. We just have to have confidence and play the way we can play.

  10. Gabriel trained today. U18 midfielder Harry Donovan trained with the squad Rosicky back in training as well after missing the last two games through illness. Arteta continued to train but isn’t yet match fit.Gnabry trained today as well
