What Arsenal fans want from internationals

There is nothing that Arsene Wenger can do about the Arsenal players that have been called up by their respective coaches for international duty, other than cross his fingers and hope that they all come back to north London in one piece next week.

I must say that I find it slightly suspicious that Chelsea´s Costa and Liverpool´s Sturridge and Lallana have had to pull out of their international squads due to minor injury problems and will be surprised if they are not miraculously all better when the Premier League starts again but what can you do?

It could be a real blow to Arsenal if we lose any big players like Giroud, Koscielny, Ozil, Cazorla, Ramsey, Gabriel or Alexis Sanchez so clearly the biggest hope for Arsenal fans is to avoid this. After that, we would like some of the Gunners that have played the most, like Cazorla, Ozil and Alexis, to not be used too much. The fact that a lot of these are friendly games will hopefully help us with that.

We also have players like Monreal, Coquelin, Mertesacker and Bellerin who are not involved and could really do with a nice rest, while the break brings the return of our injured stars Wilshere, Arteta and Debuchy closer without them missing any more domestic action.

On the other hand, it would be good for some of our other players like Szczesny, Gibbs, Walcott and Gabriel to see some international action as it would be great for their confidence as well as helping them to come back to Arsenal with match sharpness and good morale.

These breaks are always stressful for Arsenal fans and Wenger but this one could actually work out pretty well for us. Fingers crossed!

Just heard, key Liverpool players might not be as badly injured as a first thought, should be fit for Arsenal game. What a nigkcuf surprise.

    1. I didn’t even know Liverpool has injured players. All I knew is that Skrtel & Gerard will be out due to disciplinary actions.

      1. and I think those 2 being out of the LFC squad is all we should expect right now.

The last time Sturridge played during the international break, he got injured again so he’s probably avoiding the call up on purpose. I’m sure he’ll be fine and dandy by the 4th.

  2. off topic ; can someone let me know if footballers are paid during summer when the league if finished? ??

  3. I’m not an ozil fan boy but dude, seriously!?
How do you know what he told the manager and stuff? lol
No one likes it even when Giroud’s or Wilshere’s privacy is breached like that. Be a proper fan and get off your high horse.

    1. Okay my bad. Didn’t mean to sound harsh before. But don’t you think the media pokes all this too much?

I was just asking dude because of your name. It means crazy is some languages. Don’t take offense to it…
I was just curious. No harm no foul…

  4. Costa is ‘injured’ for the internationals. Sturridge is ‘injured’ for the internationals too. Bet both of them are miraculously recovered by the time the league restarts.

  5. a lot of speculation and not a lot of proof. the daily mail and the rest of the media blew up this story and yet have no pictures or facts to back it up.

And if he was there, so what. He obviously needed a break and we have enough players (as those claiming we should bench Ozil would state) to fill in the slots.

The media disparage him repeatedly in England and when he’s finally back in his homeland they disparage him there too. Ozil can go save a family from a burning house but the media would still make an article entitled “Ozil saved a family from the flames but failed to save their pet hamster.”

  6. i think wenger should use this summer to bring in some of the invincible players to restructure the coaching setup set up a “techical heart” at the club at the club henry is already here in some format
    bergkamp – striker coach
    silva – midfiled coach
    pires – winger coach
    jens lehman – goalkeeper coach
    martin keown – defence coach
veiera manager of the under 21’s
remi garde manager of the under 19’s
arteta and rosicky could learn there coaching badges with veiera and garde as youth assistants
    overmars as director of football

quick wenger get on the phone and make this happen it is like a footballing utopia the arsenal family …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… time to wake up from dream !
