What is Arsenal’s VERY BEST starting line-up from the squad on tour?

Arsenal have taken a strong squad to Australia, despite leaving Alexis, Bellerin, Mustafi and others behind, but now that we know the Official 25 man Arsenal squad, who would you pick as the very best starting line-up from the players available in Sydney?

Obviously I must pick Cech as the Number One, and I am certain he is still Wenger’s first choice. We are missing quite a few defenders including Mustafi and Holding, so I am picking the old trio of Kos BFG and Monreal as the back three, with Per in the middle due to the lack of pace…

Kolasinac must be preferred to the Ox as the right-wing-back, but as Chamberlain played on the right in the Cup Final I am going to put him on the other flank. Xhaka improved drastically towards the end of the season, as did Ramsey, so those two must be first choice in the middle.

We have many more options up front, but I think Ozil and Lacazette are definitely first choice, and I’m going to put Walcott ahead of Welbeck and Iwobi for the last remaining place.

So here is my favoured line-up…

Cech
Koscielny Mertesacker Monreal
Oxlade-Chamberlain Xhaka Ramsey Kolasinac
Ozil Walcott
Lacazette

I am looking forward to seeing the youngsters and others getting a game, and I am sure everyone will be playing at some point, but who would you pick as your very best starting line-up?

the picture of lukaku is infact a picture of STORMZY

      HAHAHAHAHAHA
thats brilliant lol , racism banter whatever

      too funny- LOVE THE IRISH

  1. “Kolasinac must be preferred to the Ox as the right-wing-back”
Kol is left sided. Why would he be preferred on the right?

    1. Go back to the previous article to see the reply. You always calling me idiotic and saying BS but would a person who isn’t an idiot speak like you.I doubt. You need to relax when replying to people and stop being classless in your speech.Your replies are all funny though as you always keep denying what is there for everyone to see.

      1. That’s because you are an idiot.
        You do talk BS.

Sorry for saying what is obvious, I’m good at pointing out the obvious, yes I also know I have an arrogant streak… No one is perfect. At least I am not a hopeless case like you ^.^

So yeah, why would Seo be preferred to play RWB to LWB?
Link the article that you said, previous article on justarsenal is about selling players..

put it in your own words if you can comprehend what it is you are talking about and not repeating something like a complete idiot! Parrots can repeat, is that all you are? The level of a parrot?

    2. When Samuel commented on why it was wrong to sell Lucas Perez you brought up stats between Walcott and Perez and in that you proved using the stats why Walcott is better. If Wenger didn’t have blond love for some of his players then why did he keep benching Perez when he was performing yet the average guys always got a look in the squad. So if there are stats which prove Walcott is better aren’t there stats which also prove Perez is better?Think about that. You also said Perez is not as good as some of us make out.The funny thing is yesterday we had an argument on Giroud and I also tried to imply that Giroud is not as good as we make out and you opposed. You always kept bringing stats up to defend him.Do you know if Bendtner or Chamakh had scored 25 goals for Arsenal in any season they’d still have been regarded as average. You know why?Because quality has nothing to do with stats and is just a kind pf talent or state. It seems to me that you think you know it all.You also denied the fact that Wenger likes French players and that if Perez was French he wouldn’t have been out in one season stating other players as examples. It seems to me that you deny things which are clear for everyone to see.If you think you know better than everyone go and teach Wenger how to win the trophy this season.

      1. MMM, lets be positive, we are all Arsenal fans, we may not agree about everything, but we must do it in an amicable manner and respect each others opinion, after all we are all Arsenal fans.

        1. Well said Sanele.. I dont really understand why Kev ia on here as he is always moaning and negative…
Midkemma made a valid point that Sead os a left back / left-sided and was then subject to an onslaught by Kev
Is there no moderation on this site? It should be for sensible discussion

      2. “When Samuel commented on why it was wrong to sell Lucas Perez you brought up stats between Walcott and Perez and in that you proved using the stats why Walcott is better.”

Theo is better than Perez. Theo is not a great player, Perez is worse.
You may claim otherwise and I will listen to that claim, if you back it up I will say good post like I have to others on this site. I explain myself. I back myself up with stats and other facts that I find, I share them as well for people to rip apart if incorrect.

“If Wenger didn’t have blond love for some of his players then why did he keep benching Perez when he was performing yet the average guys always got a look in the squad.”

He wasn’t performing, he was failing to get past his man around 66% of the time, this is not what I would consider a great performance. I also watched the games, I can talk about how he has good movement off the ball but he has poor input in build up play.

“So if there are stats which prove Walcott is better aren’t there stats which also prove Perez is better?”

I found the ones to support me, are you too stupid to find any that support you?

“The funny thing is yesterday we had an argument on Giroud and I also tried to imply that Giroud is not as good as we make out and you opposed. You always kept bringing stats up to defend him.”

OMG, I found a form of evidence to support what I was saying, I gave you the criteria to attack that could pull the rug from under me. Prove me wrong if I was.

“Do you know if Bendtner or Chamakh had scored 25 goals for Arsenal in any season they’d still have been regarded as average”

NB52 had skill, he was a lazy person, he had an ego that got in the way of him realizing his potential. For a tall guy he had pace and he had fast feet, he was lazy on the pitch though.

Chamakh attack was never good enough, we all knew that, if he did score 25+ goals for AFC then he would have earned some praise from me and he would have made me consider the fact I could be wrong. Actions speak louder than words, if a player proves me wrong then I reevaluate my judgement.

“Because quality has nothing to do with stats and is just a kind pf talent or state.”
I beg to differ, you can not get a good passing stat if you are not good at passing, oh yeah you might if you only play 10 mins here or there but once you get a large enough sample then it is different, it starts to show an average rather than a blip.

“You also denied the fact that Wenger likes French players and that if Perez was French he wouldn’t have been out in one season stating other players as examples.”

Yes I did say state examples. If what you was saying is correct then how do you explain those examples? I am listening… well reading.

“It seems to me that you deny things which are clear for everyone to see.”
I may deny things which other people believe is obvious and I welcome being proved wrong, I would have learnt something new. I will explain my perspective and read others.

Me asking why Seo would be preferred to play on the right rather than left got more up votes than down and considering I get down votes for my arrogance… I would not say the question I asked is clear for everyone, or if it is then it is in favor of what I asked.

        1. I never said Perez is better than Theo.I just said there are stats which can also show Perez is better.Stats are facts but they can deceive you of a player’s quality if you’ve not watched them.Honestly speaking I also believe Theo Walcott is better than Perez but there were some matches where he did well to warrant a start in another match however Wenger decided not to use him.Anyone who says Perez has not been poorly used is plain lying. He should’ve started at least some matches because he deserved it.You’re stupider for ignoring this fact.

Absolute nonsense on Giroud part.I don’t need stats to prove when a player is not as good as people think.Even Henry said we won’t win the league with Giroud.I wonder if he checked the stats on that one. From this logic he was naive to say that ain’t it?The guy has constantly failed as a starter for Arsenal and anyone who denies that fact would be lying.

Bendtner or Chamakh would still have been considered average even if they scored 25goals because they had average talent. For all the potential Bendtner had he never maximised it so as long asit wasn’t developed he’s still average.I mean it’s possoble for an average player to score 25 goals when given the chances and possible for a world class striker to score less than that.Quality is a talent which may be linked to stats but does not necessarily show on stats.Take Ox for example, if you looked at his stats you might think he’s average but he’s not.Look at Lukaku,he’s scored many goals for Everton yetmany people here think he’s not gpod enough for Arsenal because they look at the quality and talent andnot just the goals.

    3. Mik u right thought koli was a left back/wing back and the ox did well on that right wing.

    4. Best 11 on tour
      1.zcech
      boss, monreal, niles

      ox,kolisnac
      ramsey,xhaka

      ozil,welbeck,laca
      bench-Giroud,walcot,ospina,le coq,bielik,bfg

      1. M-Niles as CB?
Wouldn’t you prefer to see Bielik play CB?

I do rate M-Niles, I think that kid is going to be massive if he can grow in confidence and this preseason is ideal for Wenger to give him a chance, I hope to see him play in a few days time 🙂

Same thing for Bielik, he has impressed when I seen him and eager to see him play in preseason, fingers crossed he has another good loan and pushes on. I just want to see how well he developed since last preseason 😛

    Mert

  3. ………………….Martinez
    ……….Bielik…. Kolsanic…Bramall
    Niles……..Eleny…..Willock….Welbeck
    ………………..Reiss Nelson
    …………….Nketiah…….Malen

    1. that might be 2nd half but the tour is to get the 1st team playing together
I suspect atarting line up to be
      Cech
      Kos Mert and Monreal
Ox and Kolasinac as flying wing- backs
Xhaka and Ramsey to continue their partnership
      Ozil and Iwobi
Lacazette.. we have to see him first up !

  4. I like the idea of Ox and Kolasinac on opposite wing. Ox has that bit of Bull nature, rampage then bum bum bump!!, but looking at Kolasinac he looks to have it more.

I’d go easy with Lacazette over the summer, the prem is different to over there. Would hate for him to pull up because of not being used to extra running or mixing it with CB’s who’ll try to test his patience/limits. Lacazettes routine shouldn’t get changed too much, he was playing allot of games and scoring goals plenty with the routine he had.

A final thought. Arsene went straight out to France when the season was over, to help with the negotiating. We bagged Lacazette thanks to that. But now he is in Australia and we are finding Monaco difficult to deal with. Can our coaches not work with the players, because having Arsene in France would prob help us more so.

  5. Why on earth are we even discussing ox and seo swapping flanks? You people need jesus ????

  6. Every line up is preferred. The preseason serves two purposes, test new players and give chance to reserve lads to prove their readiness for first team. I would go for any which starting line up.

  7. It’s been 4 years since my last post, but I usually read post. Well, I think Mr Wenger is going to play two team both for 45 min. Which means …..the ox or kolasnic, Mert or Boss, Ozil or iwobe, welbec or OG12 and so on will not be in the same side

  9. Actually I was late but I lauded the signing of
    #Kev and #Midkemma Lol… They are great signing ???????

  10. Really excited to see the young guns in action, so I’m going to swap at half time lol

    1st half:
    Cech
    Bielik Boss Nacho
    M-Niles Ox Xhaka Sead
    Ozil Iwobi
    Laca

    Martinez
    Bielik BFG Nacho
