Arsenal set to miss out on Brazilian target following £21 million agreement

Arsenal hopes of signing exciting Brazilian looking unlikely.

Arsenal has suffered their first major blow of this transfer window with the Gunners set to miss out on the transfer of Bruno Guimaraes.

The Gunners had been the front runners to sign the young Brazilian, but they have been reluctant to splash the cash this month.

The likes of Benfica and Chelsea also targeted the midfielder with the Portuguese side reportedly lodging a bid that was rejected.

Arsenal has been limited with their spending this month despite scouting Guimaraes for some time.

The Daily Mail claims that Olympique Lyon is set to beat Arsenal to the player’s signature after they had their bid accepted.

The report claims that Athletico Paranaense’ has accepted the French side’s offer which is in the region of £21 million.

The player has been granted permission to speak to the Ligue 1 outfit and talks on personal terms seem to be progressing well.

The Gunners can still sign the player, but they would have to match or offer more than Lyon’s offering which is unlikely given Arsenal’s reluctance to spend heavily this month.

That said, you can never say never and until the player signs on the dotted line it would be wise to wait and see how this turns out.

  1. He agreed to terms. This is done deal, we have no money to complete deal against Lyon where he will play Juve in CL next month, fight for CL football with Lyon, standing way more chance to be exposed, play regular football, adapt to Europe before to jump into most physical league.

Not just be benched and injured in UK! He comes straight into team in Lyon, not crazy zoo & confusing falling appart Arsenal. He sees good players in our team but also how unhappy and lost they look; that’s not so reassuring and defenetly more sense make Lyon for his progression and goal to play for a top top team!

Think s just hype, we not signing anyone! Next cup game is coming up on Monday, then we going to Burnley hungry beasts!

Not scared at all, never for any games we been playing, we can do way way better and some young players shining but we keep them on the bench or played out of position!

Why are we playing Luiz? He is just hype, the long hair and attitude, making his money, can’t play in Brazil team anymore, nor Chelsea playing him anymore for 2 years! Sokratis as s a clown and Mustafi the best out of 3.

We have Mav, Holding who are way better, and must play a 4-1 formation where Luiz and from last game, Xhaka can be a very good option to play stringly infront of CBs.

Then, no Torreira needed there to defend or our game slips on defending, matter of 1 out of 3 midfield also defending, balance and all game leans in defending then. Just logic, math, physics! If we have 6 players and a goal keeper all defending, no way to attack, unless a counter or ball thrown wide, can’t play in middle of pitch, no transition for ball to get there. Then, Ozil, Auba who are in that area look as they not even there!

Formation is key, if Arteta comes again with Sokratis and his same non sense, then bring back zluiz for his hair; he must get same hell outta here! Enough if this same non sense!

We all as world have identified Luiz, Sokratis, Mustafi as catastrophies, to motivate them and have them in great spirit doesn’t mean crap as they are.

Come on now, how long does it takes to see that something must be done differently in that formation? Same draw and lost with a lucky win to make it an average point per game in past 20!

We been on relegation fight already, but no one seems to really see it, no mention but where we at fit weeks, in amatter of 2 losts, we can be a point from 19th spot!

We not built to take relegation pressure and desperate hungry besats fighting spirit to to compete lower teams in that exercise!

  2. Leno
    Bellerin – Mav – Holding – Mustafi
    Xhaka
    Niles Willock
    Nelson Martineli Saka

That should be our next game line up, due to injuries and cup game, if Nelson available, this should be team then. They are the benched ones in EPL when no one injured, cup team.

Better off play a real defender as LB, even if he won’t run as much forward, with a B2B as Willock infront of him, it will be fine. I can’t wait to see Niles play in his position, to show how much better option he is there. He defends well and runs forward, adding speed and combines a lot; really like Bellerin but a position above. It would have been way more happening in that flank, none on last game for that…

Holding Mav are our best pair available but not yet top class, need to play and someone sitting infront in 4-1 formation, lock that area up changes all game; as to not add another midfield to defend, allows him to play forward, balance our team that way!

I’m out, night ya! Let’s hope Arteta gets it, because he has everything else great, not easy to shift spirits that way…
