Arsenal thought they would win until the end

It is still a mystery how Arsenal lost to West Brom after being totally in control for the whole 90 minutes and having nearly three quarters of the possession. Anything that could go wrong did go wrong, and it seemed inevitable that Santi Cazorla would slip up when he took that penalty.

Petr Cech was impressed though that the Gunners kept attacking and fighting for the win despite having no luck whatsoever. “I think we don’t want to take credit from West Brom but across the 90 minutes we were the better side.” Petr said on Arsenal.com. “We had chances and a lot of opportunities and we were unlucky as we scored an own goal. Apart of that, we were on top of them and looked like the side that was going to win the game, even in the second half.

“I thought when we had the penalty that we would still have a chance to search for the third goal but it was one of those games where it was not going our way. But I like our reaction and although everything went against us a bit, we kept going until the last minute and were still creating opportunities. We have to regroup and continue working.”

Cech and his team-mates only have to wait until tomorrow to make things right, and a convincing win over Zagreb will pt us all back in a good mood, assuming that Bayern Munich beat Olympiakos tha is……
