Arsenal will pay Galatasaray’s asking price for defender

Arsenal appears poised to meet Galatasaray’s asking price for Sacha Boey as they intensify their pursuit of the right-back.

Boey has established himself as one of the standout players in Turkey over the past few seasons, and he drew the attention of Arsenal last season. The Gunners have continued to monitor his progress and now seem ready to make a move in the upcoming transfer window.

According to reports from Fanatik, Arsenal is on the verge of making an offer for the Frenchman’s signature and is prepared to meet Galatasaray’s valuation. The report indicates that Arsenal is willing to pay the requested 20 million euros for Boey’s transfer.

Arsenal may choose to present this offer in the next transfer window or wait until the end of the season to make their move for the right-back.

Just Arsenal Opinion

Boey has been on our radar for a while and other clubs are following the defender, so we have to improve our chance of signing him by acting soon.

If we keep delaying, another club could offer him an enticing deal and steal him from under our noses.

The defender will offer us good cover in the right-back spot and help Arteta to take Ben White back to his favourite centre-back role.

  1. Why not give Norton-Cuffy a chance (currently on loan)?
I feel he is PL ready and of the right build.

  2. Though I can’t pour cold water on the quality
of right back Saucha Boey, I do think it’s the left back position is our weakest.

  3. Ben White would sit the bench as a CB, no way he beats out Saliba or Gabriel. One could even make a case that Tomiyasu is a better CB then White.

Think it more likely that there would be competition for RB, than benching White as a CB.
