Arteta has reportedly made a transfer demand for the January transfer window

Martinelli’s most recent error, so to speak, against Fulham, has further grown the discontent within the fanbase regarding his level of performance recently. This has led to criticism being directed at a player who was an invaluable asset a few seasons ago.

The critique is fully merited, there’s no doubt about that but one has to wonder if Arteta could’ve shielded him better. Our left is nowhere near creative and dynamic as our right side which has in turn affected the Brazilian immensely.

If Arsenal could improve our left hand side attack force after January, it may be worth taking a little punt on a great Arsenal comeback in the League this season. And if you do it with bonus bets like you would get at m88 free credit betting websites and use the bookies money you just can’t lose.

With that said, Martinelli certainly should be doing better overall this campaign. The general state of our left wing may force the club’s hands sooner or later with the only way obviously being the transfer market.

Raheem Sterling’s summer arrival was a poor attempt at finding a short term solution to our frontline. He wasn’t the first choice nor even the second or third choice for that matter so you can imagine the club will have to address that need in the coming transfer windows.

According to recent reports however, we may see an acceleration to such plans. Football Transfers have reported that Mikel Arteta has made a demand for attacking reinforcements in January as he seeks to get our season back on track with the player in particular being the Spanish and Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams.

If Arsenal genuinely decide to push for his signature, his €58million release clause will be very reachable. The only other stumbling block will be the player’s willingness to join us. He reiterated his commitments to Bilbao in the summer while still leaving the door open for a move away. Gooners will be hoping the latter is true but we must firstly see if Arsenal will go for him next month.

Considering that our left wingers that we have at the moment this looks like a very neccessary move for the Gunners. Raheem Sterling simply doesn’t look like he will even get a game at the move and looks like a failed bit of wishful thinking. Gabriel Martinelli has been extremely erratic and has not progressed in the last season and a half, and, as for Leandro Trossard, his form has dropped out site and recently looks like he doesn’t even want to at the club. I have a feeling that Arsenal will be outsiders in the betting for the League title by January, but

Nico Williams has undoubted talents but do you all see him being a transformative figure if he makes the move? Surely he will be an improvement on our current performers?

  1. Trossard was better as a “supersub”. As soon as he got a start he lost interest (ego?) and it also stunted Martinelli’s confidence.

Kick out Sterling or make him play.
Sell Trossard to Saudi pro league along with Partey, Jesus & Zinchenko.

We were excellent when we only signed players under 25. Isak,Williams, Zubimenda, Osimhen, Thuram…. go out and charm them. Pay the release clause and make them feel loved. Any of those guys will deliver in spades

  2. If you look at the setup of the current Arsenal team the right hand side has an extremely solid and dynamic trio of White, Odegaard and Saka and the left hand side has ( nobody worth mentioning!! ).
Extremely unbalanced ! We need two new players on the left who can play together as a team and press from both sides of the field !!

  3. Arteta’s not in a position to “demand” anything of his employer but has most likely requested additional players to strengthen his side.
I can just imagine Josh Kroenke (who’s at least a head taller) saying “what was that you demanded Mikel?”🤣.
