Liverpool v Arsenal Match Preview & Predicted Score with fourth in sight

Arsenal will go to Anfield today knowing that a victory over Liverpool will see them move into fourth place, but it will certainly not be easy.

Some may believe that this will be our best chance to beat the Reds since our last victory on Merseyside back in 2012, and while that could be true, it certainly won’t be a gimme.

The fact that we haven’t won at Anfield since 2012 tells you just how difficult a task is in hand, although it has to be said that our rivals do not arrive full of confidence. They arrive on the back of the international break, but having lost their most recent Premier League fixture with West Ham, and their draw against Brighton the week before will further add to their woes. They also come into the clash with a number of injury worries, and even if certain players are included in the starting line-up, that doesn’t mean that they are at 100%.

Arsenal on the other-hand come into the game on the back of a 10-match unbeaten run, including some very assured one-sided victories, and will be full of confidence going into today’s big match. We may well have our own issues in regards to fitness also, which leaves us anxiously awaiting the line-ups, with question marks over both Thomas Partey and Aubameyang’s availability.

I wish I could say that I believe we are going to win today, but I don’t feel like we are not going to win (if that’s makes any sense at all…). I do feel like we have a great chance if we can bring our A game, but I’m going to go for a hard-fought 2-2 victory today, although I do believe the Reds will need to be in top form to score twice against our defence.

Is anyone else more certain in their predictions?
