Arsenal ace Eddie Nketiah likely to be out for 4 weeks with injury

Arsenal starlet Eddie Nketiah has suffered a devastating blow whilst on loan at Leeds United. The ace has been ruled out for around four weeks with an injury.

According to the Athletic (subscription required), Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa was set to hand promising Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah his first Championship start against QPR.

There was heartbreak for Nketiah though as he was sidelined after damaging a stomach muscle in training on Friday.

It’s now been revealed by the Athletic that the ace is likely to be ruled out for 4 weeks, it’s heartbreaking to see that the setback has come at such a crucial moment for Nketiah.

Bielsa has preferred Chelsea academy graduate Patrick Bamford to the 20-year-old for the majority of this season, despite Nketiah’s fine performances for club and country.

Nketiah has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions for Leeds and England’s Under-21s.

Hopefully Nketiah is back to full fitness before the busy December period kicks off.

This stage of the season will give the youngster the chance to get the valuable playing time he wants to prove himself as the best forward at the Yorkshire outfit.

Nketiah has been sensational for Leeds and England’s Under-21s this season.

In other news, with the pressure continuing to pile on Unai Emery, take a look at 12 potential candidates that could succeed the Spaniard at the Emirates Stadium.

Nketiah looks to have all the characteristics of a prolific natural goalscorer. The England Under-21s star has a knack for getting himself in the right position to hit the back of the net.

The Gunners will definitely need to assess the ace’s situation if he continues to receive a lack of starts after his return from injury.

Leeds could risk losing the starlet to one of their Championship rivals, we’re certain that there’s heaps of top clubs out there that are willing to make the talented youngster their man up top.

    1. He’s injured. Also we have Aubameyang, Lacazette, Martinelli and Saka. No need for him

      Also he needs regular matchplay

  1. We wish hi. Speedy recovery. If he works hard enough, and makes the world class grade soon, we won’t need to look to the market for Aubameyang’s replacement. I hope Aubameyang and Lacazette’s contracts are extended soon though…. Nketiah and Martinelli would have come of age by the end of their contracts…. or even sooner.

    1. I love the comments Sue and I’m sure some of the snowflakes actually thought it was Iwobi bottom right🤣
