Pundit reveals Arsenal man has been setting personal records in training

Emile Smith Rowe faced limitations due to injuries during the previous season, impeding his potential impact at Arsenal. The midfielder, eager for a better performance in the upcoming 2023/2024 season, holds a significant role for the Gunners at the Emirates and consistently delivers impressive performances when given the opportunity.

Despite featuring less frequently in the previous campaign, Arsenal possessed a strong squad that came close to clinching the league title even in Smith Rowe’s absence. Nonetheless, the determined Englishman remains resolute and has been diligently working in training to reclaim his position in the team.

Pundit Kaya Kaynak recently provided an exciting update on Smith Rowe, revealing that the midfielder has been showcasing his dedication and readiness for increased opportunities during training sessions, thereby impressing the coaching staff.

He told The View From The Clock End Podcast:

“We’ve done some stuff on the Smith Rowe situation. He’s come back from the injury and he’s pain-free, all the reports from training are positive, he’s lost weight, he’s much leaner than he ever has been before. He’s setting personal records in terms of pace and physicality all of those things, he hasn’t had any conversations with Arteta about what he needs to do to be in the team.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

Smith Rowe is a fine player who has just been unlucky with injuries for the last few months.

The midfielder still has a future at the club and if he prepares well for the next campaign, he would be a key player for us.

  1. “he hasn’t had any conversations with Arteta about what he needs to do to be in the team”
Why not? This is the problem I see for him – it’s not clear what role he could take in this side, except maybe the one occupied by odegaard (our captain who doesn’t miss many games). We’ve got trossard and Nelson doing well on the wings, so not much space there. You’d think he’d be ahead of Vieira in the thinking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case yet, either.
I agree with those who say he should target xhaka’s position, though even if GX does leave this summer that door will likely close temporarily (again) if we sign rice or caicedo or someone similar… He needs that role though, so arteta can start to rotate him at least. There’ll be more games next season, so more opportunities.

  2. I really rste ESR. But he is turning out to be such a Wilshere type. Very talented but made of glass..
Always injured. Hope next season it all changes for him. He is a talent. I also rste Fabio Vieira, he needs to bulk up as he still looks like a teenager suffering from bulimia. He seems so timid, scared and hides a lot when on the pitch.

  3. ESR is always involved in a goal or an assist. He is a clever
player with high intellect. He only needs to connect with
our forward line by playing regularly..

  4. Talking about the eggs that could be on the gaffer face.

If we seriously let Smith Rowe join the Unai Emery revolution at Aston Villa, it will surely come back to haunt us.

Blessed with close controls he has all the traits to be the Bellingham in the premier league, the best traits of Bellingham in my opinion is he’s a great carrier of the ball, with just a little tweaking and letting him loose we could see this kid comes alive again to devastating effects, somewhere in there lays a Massive player in my opinion.

  5. ESR is talented; I think MA didn’t know how to use him last season after he returned from his injury.

He’s the kind of player willing to give 100% and play anywhere (exactly like: Trossard and Neilson). I hope he stays and MA starts getting him back to the game.

We can play with 1 CDM and start playing him behind any CF.

  6. Loan him out to West ham or Brighton as part of a purchase deal for Rice or Caicedo. Win Win for everyone!
