Rio Ferdinand insists Premier League midfielder will improve Arsenal

Rio Ferdinand, the former Manchester United defender, believes that Declan Rice would thrive at Arsenal as the Gunners pursue the midfielder’s signature.

Rice has established himself as one of the top midfielders in recent seasons and is poised to make a significant move in the upcoming summer.

Numerous clubs, both domestic and international, have expressed interest in acquiring the services of the West Ham star, with Arsenal keen on securing his signature.

After coming close to Premier League glory in the previous campaign, Arsenal is aware that strengthening their squad will elevate their performance, potentially positioning them as title contenders in the upcoming season.

Ferdinand agrees Arsenal needs to strengthen and says Rice will fit in. He said via The Daily Mail:

‘I think you need a couple to come in and improve the starting XI. Declan Rice does improve your starting XI, no doubt for me, if you do go and get him.

‘But it’s whether the price is going to be a price that Arsenal agree with and that West Ham accept. I think there might be a big disparity between where both clubs are at the moment.’

Just Arsenal Opinion

Rice has been one of the best players in his position in the Premier League over the years and there is little doubt he will replicate that form on our books.

However, we must be prepared to spend a lot of money to add him to our group because of the interest in his signature from other clubs on the continent.
