The must-have Arsenal players for Fantasy Football

The Premier League season is a matter of weeks away from kicking off, when Arsenal take on Liverpool on August 14, so we thought we’d take a look a brief look into the fantasy football situation.

The Gunners enjoyed a rich run of form in the latter stages of the league campaign, and you can expect them to pick up where they left off in May.

There are a number of players who you would like to have in your Dream Teams, but who simply cannot be overlooked?

Mesut Ozil is one of the most obvious inclusions, following his near-flawless creativity shown last season, but he will not come cheap, although he most certainly will score heavily once again this year.

Alexis Sanchez is also high on the wanted list, as well as at being around the top of the market, and his eye for goal is a huge addition to have in your side. He WILL be scoring a number of goals this year, mark my words, and I’m tempted to leave the German maestro out in favour of the Chilean, if he can prove his fitness before the season begins.

The other players who are currently 100% certain to play almost every match this season, should they stay fit, are Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Laurent Koscielny and Petr Cech.

We have way too many central midfielders in our squad to claim any will earn a regular starting role, and as much as Alex Iwobi earned a regular role toward the end of the season, we are currently linked with adding to that area of the pitch, and it remains to be seen how important he will be this term.

Petr Cech will be going straight in as my number one for this season, having shown over many years for Chelsea, as he did for us last year, that he remains consistently as one of, if not the, best goalkeepers in the professional game.

The Spanish full-back has been going from strength to strength under Wenger’s tutelage, and you would have to be mad to overlook him without though, and he will give me a headache as I try and limit my Arsenal inclusions down to only three.

Giroud and Koscielny will miss the beginning of the season due to their extended runs in the European Championship, as will Aaron Ramsey, and will have to be overlooked from the off, but unless a top striker comes in, I would also be tempted with the striker.

I know many of you have your reservations about him, but he recorded his best goal tally yet for us last term, and is regularly improving, despite his barren run, which I blame on the lack of freshness due to being overworked, while Theo and Welbeck were out.

I will be starting the season with Cech, Bellerin and Ozil, but Giroud and Sanchez could well come in once they return to action.

Who are your must have fantasy stars?

Bellerin is too expensive on the FFL i am on
I don’t like to spend too much on defenders
I am not getting any Arsenal defenders because of Merts injury and its unknown which CB we will get if any.
