We’re all probably bored of Alexis Sanchez and his transfer saga, but I feel like his latest online post of being sick is just pathetic. It’s weak for a player of his quality to try to land a move in such a shameful way, but we did see it with Payet at West Ham.
It doesn’t even look like he’s that sick either. To me it looks similar to his shameful acting when he was subbed against Swansea. We shouldn’t allow this here and I hope Jens Lehman gets a chat with Sanchez reminding him he is still an Arsenal player.
Honestly I was an admirer of the idea to keep him, but having a toxic character in the dressing room isn’t too healthy. I’d sell him to PSG and focus on signing somebody who’ll be committed to this football club.
Moving on from Alexis Wenger hinted something that I said in a previous article. Due to the lack of first choice defenders, Elneny is set to start as a CB. Look at our starting back 3 for Leicester – Mertesacker, Elneny and Holding/Chambers. Even if Koscielny is suspended it’s still a liability, and if we don’t win our opening two games, you should definitely look at this as a main reason for that.
Lastly on the transfer news there’s that Nice player Seri, who is eyed as a Cazorla replacement and I like getting a player in that position, because Cazorla is old and Coquelin is not good enough so I’d take a gamble. I’d rather have us try our best, rather than leave space for excuses, which Arsene undoubtedly has.
And as far as Lemar is concerned there are 2 theories. One is that he doesn’t like how the squad was sold out and Mbappe could be on his way out too, and he wants to leave, which is a viable one and then there’s Monaco stating the player is key to their squad and they do not need to sell.
They did make quite a lot of money this summer so it’s certain that they are in no need forced to sell, so if we want the player and he wants us, he’ll have to do part of the job and ask to leave. Getting Lemar would be a real statement of intent in my opinion and we should target our efforts there, because he is the future and Alexis ever more seems like the past.
