New signing Kieran Tierney also put in a great performance highlighting throughout the threat he poses down the left side.

  1. I hope our team against Bournemouth will be something close to:

    Leno
    Bellerin/Chambers
    Holding
    Luiz/Chambers
    Tierney/Kolsanic
    Torreira/Guendouzi
    Wilock/Guendouzi
    Ceballos
    Pepe
    Martinelli/Saka
    Aubameyang

Obviously some players will be rested who played against Standard Liege but hopefully not too many

No Xhaka, Mustafi, Ozil (lol), Niles, Sokratis

  2. I like our EL starting 11 better than our PL starting 11 and it is not just because to the opposition is weaker.

The EL team was a lot more positive and adventurous with enough creative impulses.

It would be hard to understand why this back 4 would not start in the PL.

It’s time to relegate Luiz, Xhaka, and Sokratis to the EL and promote Thierney, Chambers and Bellerin to the PL starting 11. and Martinelli should be used as a sub most PL games to make sure we don’t wear out Auba and to him PL experience.

  3. The Metro paper’s report on Arsenal’s European win and the 18 yr old Brazilians 2 goals could have been written on a postage stamp.Never mind we gooners love the Arsenal even though journalists and pundits don’t.

  4. OT: We waited too long to move on from Wenger and missed out on Pep and Klopp.

Now with the Spurs job and the Man U job potentially opening up sooner rather than later we will face more competition for whichever “top” managers are available to step in. The football world is not over-populated with high percentage success managers like Klopp and Pep. I hope we don’t give Man U and or Spurs a first bite of the apple when it comes to picking a new manager.

  5. We could play:

    ——– Leno/Martinez
    Chambers – Luiz – Holding – Tierney
    —— Guendouzi – Willock
    ——— Ceba / Özil
    Pepe – Aubameyang – Saka/Martinelli

Sub Tierney and Holding around 60-70 minutes if are leading comfortably and if they are too fatigued.

But knowing Emery, we will start with Luiz and Sokratis and Xhaka, lol.

  6. The kids are alright.

Great performance from the boys. I am really surprised with Willock, his not been over hyped in the past, kept his head down and now showing us what his made of. Cant wait to see him in midfield alongside Guendouzi and Lucas.

KT what are a player we have on our books too. I see him providing lots of assist for our strikers.

Unai must stop making us believe Martinelli’s best position is not ST, we need a player there with his ability to help out Auba especially with Lacca injured. RVP and Henry all started from the flanks, lets mold him into the best ST in training if he has already mastered the LW. The kid has goals in him.
