Watch this week’s Just Arsenal Show – Is this the perfect time to play Newcastle?

Newcastle United may be languishing at the bottom of the Premier League right now, but there are big things afoot up in Tyneside.

Mike Ashley has finally done something to please diehard Toon fans by selling the club to a super-rich consortium, that are bound to invest heavily to make Newcastle into title challengers in the future, but they cannot start any of that process until January at the earliest.

They have also appointed a new coach in Don Howe, but he is also unavailable to have any influence at the moment due to Covid.

So Dan Smith rightly asks whether this is the perfect time to face Newcastle, and whether you agree with him or not, our Dan is certainly extremely knowledgable on all things to do with Arsenal….

  1. Chelsea ,Man City, Man Utd + Liverpool have way better squads than Arsenal. Even Tottenham have a better squad . Arsenal is half way through a rebuild so 6th or 7th is the goal this season. Already we are up to 5th so we are ahead of schedule. 3 of our losses have been to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 6 wins + two draws is good progress after 12 games especially after the 0-3 start. Logically we should win at home to Newcastle and lose away to Man U. The away game at struggling Everton will be the real test of how far we have progressed.
    Arsenal 3 Newcastle 0.

    1. Your comments proves how much we have treated Wenger Badly and giving Liberty to Arteta…
When Wenger used to deliver 4th spot with Diaby and Denilson and Eboue as midfielders, it was unacceptable and now we are okay even if we get only 6th or 7th with much better Squad.

There were Wenger out campaigns along with planes flying with Wenger out banner ahead of match..
Arteta is lucky man or we as a fans Lowered our expectations… or May be hypocrites

  2. Much love Dan, I share absolutely same thoughts with you right here!
I however think you should have put bits of the rants off the video to suit the header and dwell more on the subject, or maybe the post should have had a different headline to suit the video more.
    Well done man.

        1. Wow! I happily say I am open to suggestions and your response is incredible!

Explain ease how I was trying to be funny?

          1. Admin Pat, if you don’t end with emoji’s the kids don’t understand.

            Try this next time:

I am willing to listen to headline suggestions 👍😁🙈❤️

  3. Nice one Dan. If we don’t rectify the humiliation and wimpish surrender we showed against Liverpool, and wimpish is the right word, right meaning, then we will be back at square one. Aubameyang is a STUPID choice of captain. absurd. We need a ‘Tony Adams’ type who galvanises the troops. Maybe Ramsdale, maybe Tierney will give them a kick up their asses.
On Saturday, Arteta’s micro-management from the touchline cost us badly. His moment by moment issuing of ‘do this, do that’ is to me OCD…it stifles creative spontaneity and lowers freedom of spirit in the team. To me Arteta looks a little ‘possessed’ on the touchline….he needs to chill out and let the players ‘dance’.
Our forward line has aged and shows it. Both Laca and Auba are no longer at the cutting edge so why we can’t give Gabriel Martinelli a few games to find his feet is beyond me.
