Declan Rice proved once again why Arsenal got him for a bargain price

Arsenal continued their impressive winning streak on Saturday afternoon with a commanding 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

The North Londoners once again displayed their dominance throughout the match, making it clear that they are determined to win the title this time around.

Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, and Declan Rice all scored goals to secure the victory. So, which Gunner impressed you most in that game? For me, Declan Rice was my standout. The £105 million 2023 recruit has proven to be a valuable asset for Arsenal.

As is his norm in Arsenal colours, he once again impressed on Saturday, scoring a goal and providing an assist. Notably, the assist versus Bournemouth was his third assist in the last 3 games, having assisted a goal against Chelsea and Tottenham. That said, other than the goal and the assist versus the Andoni Iraola-led side, he had 65 touches, attempted 3 shots with one on target, completed 48 passes with a pass accuracy of 90%, won 3 out of 6 ground duels, made 2 interceptions, and completed 1 tackle.

Impressively, the two goal contributions against the Cherries bring the ex-Hammer’s total to 15 goal contributions 20 far this season.

His outstanding performance in the victory against Bournemouth deservedly earned him the man of the match award, but the fact is that he has been performing brilliantly all season….

So, like me, was Rice the Gunner that stood out for you in the Saturday win over Bournemouth?

ADMIN COMMENT

So here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….

You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans. Everyone is allowed to hold their own opinions even if you disagree with them. It COSTS NOTHING TO BE POLITE TO OTHER ARSENAL FANS.

  1. His awareness is world-class and his ball control skills are very good, as seen from our second and third goals against Bournemouth

He seems to work very well with Partey. I heard Jorginho was being offered a new contract, so I hope Partey can also stay longer to be our main CDM

This season is also Rice’s and Havertz’s most productive ones in England, which has been showing Arteta’s and the other coaches’ great work on their senior players

  2. They can get Viktor Gyökeres to the same cheap price. If you want to be the best, you must buy the best. If you go for half the price players, you end up half the way. With Gyökeres against Bournemouth Arsenal would have had 4-0 after 45 mins (without pen dive).
By the way, leave the dives to the others. Arsenal should be to proud for something like that. Better being an honest loser than a cheating “winner”. This season is already over anyway. Team X will use the dive concept in all their last three games. An early lead after a penalty and then secure the victory from that position. It’s over, kids. Stop dreaming.
But if Gunners get Viktor Gyökeres to the next season I’m sure they will beat Team X, even if they dive to the bottom of the Irish Sea.
    Get Gyökeres!
