Arsenal MUST win as Chelsea face tough test

Arsenal have lost their last two fixtures leaving them a huge nine points behind league leaders Chelsea, and they must now be looking to win every game to have a chance at the title.

The Gunners have an interesting encounter with Hull City coming up this weekend, but the relegation-threatened side have had an upturn in fortunes of late, and must not be taken lightly.

The Tigers have beaten Liverpool and Manchester United since the arrival of new manager Marco Silva, but we not only have home advantage this week, but have the clear ability advantage also.

Chelsea also have a tough fixture also as they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley, who have won nine of their 13 matches at their home stadium, including the last seven! That is a record to be proud of for any top team, let alone a mid-table side.

Liverpool and Tottenham also face each other in what raises the need for us to win further. The duo current sit in second and fifth in the PL table, A draw would most likely be ideal in our hunt to secure a Champìons League place for next season, but with the Reds seemingly like they need the win more, they may well give the advantage to the away side.

Arsenal have to win for a number of reasons, in order to kill their run of consecutive defeats, to keep our side in the top top, and to also give ourselves a shot at the title (should CFC slip up).

Will Wenger be able to fire the team up to do the business this week? Who will win the LFC-Spurs game? Could Chelsea drop points?

Chelsea face tough opponent, we also face tough oppnonet. Hull draw Manchester United and defeated Liverpool. .

And when other teams have tough games, we hardly capitalise.

Anyway, I think we are going to win. I also think Chelsea will win.

Everton and Watford were MUST wins. Yet we blew it. I don’t always expect us to beat teams like City and Chelsea, but if you look at history and stats, out of the top current six teams in the PL vs each other, we have the worst stats and least wins. It has been the case for years.

Carragher made a valid point when he said no team is impervious to losing, neither were the Invincibles, but when the Invincibles lost, they did so like men, and it was always a fight till the end. They had strength and character. Today, more than half the team lack a backbone, and it has been going on for years, we see the same weak minded Arsenal each season. But then Neville butts in and says he thinks the Arsenal fans who want Wenger out are embarrassing and instead we should celebrate the fact he is still at the club because of his philosophy etc. What Neville cannot understand is that Wenger is not progressing the club in terms of silverware, right now we are stale and predictable as it has been for years and frnakly I’m sick and tired of seeing our players fold and crumble when it really matters. NEW MANAGER – NEW MINDSET

why are we still talking about Chelsea? We are closer to West Brom’s point total than to Chelsea’s. So what Chelsea does is irrelevant, this is another 4th place battle yet again, let’s not delude ourselves.

We need to win because Man U have a winnable game. We fail to beat Hull and we might find ourselves level on points with Man U or worse. We are only two points ahead of them.

Another nightmare early kick off but this time it’s at The Emirates,
I’m expecting a fired up Hull to turn up with their game plan plus B and C if needed, whereas our lot will be strolling out with the same old piss poor first half performance. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re trailing at the break but I still reckon that we will Nick the three points at the death.

I also fancy Burnley to beat Chelsea or at least get a draw and I’m going for Liverpooh to beat the spuds, along with Man city dropping points at Bournemouth.
