Great News As Arsenal Star Confirms He Is Going Nowhere!

The Arsenal star Santi Cazorla has long been linked with a move back to Spain, with Athletico Madrid said to be especially keen on his services according to various media outlets both in England and in Spain. However, the diminutive playmaker has now spoken out about his situation and has flatly denied any approach from Diego Simeone’s side and has insisted that he is very happy to stay with the Gunners.

The Spanish international told El Mundo: “Right now I haven’t heard from anybody, it’s just rumours. And, to tell the truth, it doesn’t concern me too much. What I’m concerned about is Arsenal, where I’m doing well. In the future, we’ll see. I’m saying that I like it very much and, as long as the club value me as they have done until now, then I’ll continue.”

In addition to insisting that he is happy to stay at Arsenal, the former Villareal man has also expressed his desire to remain at the club until he remains valued, which speaks volumes of his commitment to the club. Since his arrival in England, Santi has adapted to the Premier League as a duck takes to water and has had a massive influence on Arsene Wenger’s side, so these statements will be music to the ears of all Arsenal fans.

Despite heavy competition for places in Arsenal’s offensive setup, it is really nice to see a player who is determined to stay and fight for his place instead of taking the easy way out to find regular game-time. Having signed a contract extension just last year, it really does seem like a certainty that Santi Cazorla will remain with the Gunners for the next couple of years at least.

  1. Cazorla is our best attacking midfielder and we should keep him playing in his best position … Great news because I am afraid of Spanish players getting home sick …

  2. That’s great news!!!!…. There are very few players out there with mastery of both foots ….i mean I saw it xo vividly against man city, the way he finished four players, gliding through them was something else… He is so different from the other midfielders we have… I really love him.

  3. If we were to sell cazorla, honestly, who else would we keep? wilshere?……c’mon men…..some of dese players age like fine wine….enough of these ‘young pple play football dese days’ crap….a champion team is built on a fine blend of maturity, experience and youthfulness…cazorla..u have to stay

  4. That’s wonderful news about Santi, he is aging like a fine mature cheese…. he sounds like one too…….

Me: Hello, please can I have one of those cheese wheels?
Cheese Shop Proprietor: Certainly sir, which would you like?
Me: Well, which would you recommend my fine fellow?
Cheese Shop Proprietor: The Santo Cazorla is just mesmerisingly delicious.
Me: Perfect, sounds like it will run rings around other cheeses

  5. Letz hope he does’nt change his mind in the summer.Would really like isco playing at the emirates next season

  6. I see I have 4 dislikes on my previous comment, I fear my words have not been understood, so let me explain.

I was likening Gorgonzola to Cazorla, hence my cheese comment

Also, imagine if you will, that midfielders are all cheese, it’s a metaphor.

I was saying Santi is the best cheese, therefore better than other midfielders!!!

    Likes please :o)

    1. Maybe if it was called Gocazorla it would have swam/floated, gocazorla sounds more like the one id buy. Or maybe if anyone had heard of that cheese before or new some others besides cheddar mozzarella and easy singles…. i know a few more but only after hearing them.

  7. I’m not sure any club in Europe has as good a pair of attacking midfielders in Özil and Cazorla to choose from. Perhaps Barcelona, but other than them I’m unconvinced. Cazorla is Magic to watch. It’s really entertaining to watch him continually find his way out when people tackle him, he never seems to lose the ball.

  8. I’m glad he is staying but I’m glad we have 1. Ozil 2. Cazorla and 3. Rosicky as our main attacking midfielders. Even Alexis can play attacking mf

I predict Ozil will make #10 position his own next season but very happy to have Cazorla as backup or box2box too. We are very strong in the attacking mf department.

    Cazorla Thanks dude

    1. I agree, its just a pity that it took injuries before we tried them. When we couldnt win two in a row to save our lives in the opening of season would have been a good thing to see… could even be leading table id imagine. Wouldnt mind but fans were saying take Cazorla off wing and Ozil too also mentioning how these two are or surely must be our best ball playing midfielders. Having Coq there helps i must add.
