Arsenal face the prospect of losing star men if Unai Emery stays

Arsenal fear that their some of their top players will not renew their contracts if they don’t sack Unai Emery

Arsenal may have to sack Unai Emery sooner rather than later if they want to keep hold of their star men.

The Gunners are under pressure from their fans to fire the former PSG boss as results haven’t been going their way, but, they instead came out in defence of the manager.

However, after their 2-2 draw against Southampton at the weekend, they are now genuinely afraid of things getting out of hand.

The Daily Mail claims that the likes of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have been stalling on signing new deals as they look to play in the Champions League.

Arsenal is currently eight points behind the top four and finishing the season in a Champions League position is now even more difficult.

With the likes of Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe in the attack, Arsenal has still adopted a mostly conservative approach to games and this has made it difficult for the forwards to score goals.

According to the report, the club fears that their key players may look for moves away if they begin next season under Unai Emery.

Emery’s players look to be struggling to understand his instructions and that has also led to speculations that he may have lost the dressing room.

The Mail further claims that Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Barcelona, he is reportedly hopeful that the Blaguranas would make a move for him next summer as they look to replace Luis Suarez.

  1. We have been saying this for weeks if not months.
It makes one wonder what these media guys/girls get paid to do, anyone with half a brain cell would know this is the case.

      1. That doesn’t make sense seeing that 4/5 of the board neither hold shares nor draw any significant salary from the club. Lastly, Arsenal has not been paying dividends so that’s 5/5 board members not directly gaining from player sales.

  2. Bring back Wenger as caretaker at least. Watch the scoring start again and rejoice when we stop giving up shots on our goal like we are the worst team in Europe.
