Confirmed Arsenal Team to take on Crystal Palace this evening including Ramsdale’s return

The teams are out for tonight’s Premier League clash between Arsenal and Crystal Palace in Selhurst Park.

We are looking to return to the top four after Spurs managed to beat Newcastle convincingly on Sunday, and join us on 54 points, whilst we have played two matches less than our rivals.

A point will be enough to see us return to fourth this evening, but we should be targeting all three in order to close the gap on Chelsea who currently occupy third, with the Blues having lost to Brentford on Saturday.

It’s great to see Ramsdale make hi return to action after his latest injury, while Bukayo Saka also makes the selection having missed the international break after contracting Covid-19.

I feel good with the team on show, with Tavares also getting his first league start in 2022.

What are your predictions after seeing the XI?

  1. Takeaway from the game

-We need quality squad depth (Tierney’s absence was sorely felt). Hopefully, Tomiyasu is available for selection soon.

    – We lack a physical presence in the box. Lacazette wasted two heading opportunities. We need a lethal and physically imposing CF.

    – Palace is turning into a sort of bogey team for top sides. Part of the foundation is built around the physicality and athletism of their players. More than half of their team is made up of black players, reminiscent of the French national team.

-We must win all our home games. No excuse to drop a single point going forward!

  2. I had the feeling we’d not win tonight.
    Typical of arsenal to crumble:
    1. 1st game since a break.
    2. The inevitable wobble of spurs going above us overnight.
    3. Closing in in the end stage, can we handle the pressure? Team of kids ar this stage needs someone to steady the ship.

So frustrating and a huge swing of momentum from us to them who play in white.

    Grrrr….

  3. Lastly, we need a special tactic for away games like this. Against physical teams like Palace, the likes of technical small players like Odegaard, Saka, Lacazette would suffer and struggle to impose themselves.

  4. Yeh they bottled it didn’t match palace intensity and got bullied and crumbled! Whoever scouted that left back should be sacked immediately he’s not good enough for non league football never mind premiership completely out of his depth!!

  5. Partey, Xhaka Lacazette are not kids. Just outplayed, outsmarted, outhustled and out coached on the night.

  6. Not being funny but this palace team so say had lesser stature and ambitions than us but they loan Gallagher keep hold of Zaha and have eze olise mateta Zaha and eduard, (who we were linked with)
If we get top 4 this year it will be an overacheievent with the size and depth of award we have also up until now largely we’ve been lucky with injuries but recently they’ve started to come up.

We need a good Sumner window and then expectations can be realistically raised

  7. We had enough chances tonight IF we had a striker. How many open goals did we miss? Think Pepe would’ve pulled something out the hat as well. I have no idea why we were so dozy first half, we weren’t too bad second half, there was no way that was a penalty, Zaha was falling over when he made contact unlike Saka who was pushed over.

  8. Very disappointing game. The boys didn’t turn up at all. Super slow start, no intensity at all. Didn’t seem that they had nothing to play for! We can’t afford more loose, we have to win our next game!
