Arsenal given huge boost to signing of star striker

After the positive and very welcome update on the injury of the Arsenal and England international forward Danny Welbeck this week, it looks like the former Man United man could be back in action for Arsenal quite soon. The surgery went well and if Welbeck’s recovery continues as it has been doing, we may even see him back in an Arsenal shirt before the end of the year.

If that does happen it may well mean that Arsene Wenger will not be looking to sign another striker in the January transfer window. What he is trying to do though, is to get our current star striker Alexis Sanchez to sign a new contract to extend his stay with the Gunners.

However, the chances of that happening took a turn for the worse when it was reported that the Spanish giants and 10 time European cup winners Real Madrid were interested in taking the Chilean back to La Liga. Thankfully for Arsenal fans, Alexis seems to love his new club as much as we love him and as reported by the Daily Star, he has poured cold water on the transfer hopes of Rafa Benitez.

The 26-year old said, “I’m very happy at Arsenal. I don’t think about leaving.

“I always want to be the best at everything I do.

“I’m never happy with what I do, I always want to give more.”

Although Alexis was already a top class player when Arsenal signed him, he also seems to have thrived in the Gunners team under Arsene Wenger and is now better than ever. So the sooner we get him to sign a new long term deal the better. With Alexis in our attack and money in the bank to sign more players of that quality, is there anything that Arsenal cannot achieve?

I too am happy his mum tells him to shoot more often, cuz he sends somes rockets to keepers (vs liverpool at home last season, vs Aston villa FA cup final, vs Man utd 2 weeks ago….). But I think his mum needs to tell him to collect the number of all arsenal’s players and call each one of them and tells them to f****** shoot more often cuz they have so many opportunities but 98% of them will prefer to pass instead and that can be really frustrating. We have good shooters (alexis, ramsey, wilshere, Ozil, cazorla(in decline, he had a deadly shoot in his first season) maybe Walcott, chamberlain) if those guys could shoot more often it could help a lot against teams that park the bus. Looking forward to collect all the three points on saturday Anyway COYG!!! HBD EYZIL.

In a world of massively inflated transfer fees, Alexis was an absolute bargain at 35 million.

I loved watching him as a player before he came to Arsenal, it’s a privilege and a pleasure to watch him in my teams colours!

God bless Arsene for this one!

For security reason, the Boss should strengthen his sqaud with 1 or 2 top quality additions during the January transfer window.(Aleksandr Kokorin?) I am saying this because the winter was on the injury front, difficult for the Gunners on the field of play to handle 2 seasons back when they were in the command lead on the table, but evetually lost the title to Man City by 7 or 8 points. And by the look of things, Arsenal will soon mount the top of the table again. Therefore, a repeat of the 2012/2013 season injuries to our top Gunners should be forestalled by the Boss not to hinder Arsenal geniue title challenge in this season campaign that is already looking promising for us to lift the League title at the end of the season. The Boss should holistically looked at Arsenal title challenge this season and take a proactive measure to nulify any anti Arsenal title challenge that could happen on the field of play.
