Arsenal are reportedly interested in adding Rodrygo to their squad during the current transfer window, with the Brazilian potentially available to leave Real Madrid. The Spanish club possess a wealth of world-class talent, and Rodrygo’s performances in recent months have not consistently met expectations.

The attacker is keen to fight for his place under Xabi Alonso but is understood to be open to a move should the right offer materialise. If he does depart Madrid, a switch to the Premier League appears the most likely outcome, with Arsenal among the clubs closely monitoring his situation. The Gunners are believed to be weighing up whether to pursue Rodrygo or focus instead on securing Eberechi Eze before the window closes.

Transfer Choices for Arsenal

Eze is currently attracting strong interest from Tottenham, which raises the possibility that Arsenal could miss out on the Crystal Palace forward. In such a scenario, a decisive move for Rodrygo may present the more viable option. His versatility, creativity, and attacking threat could provide the team with additional firepower as they look to strengthen ahead of the new season.

However, according to ESPN, Rodrygo has identified another Premier League club as his preferred destination should he move to England. The report claims he would choose to join Liverpool rather than making the switch to the Emirates. This revelation complicates Arsenal’s pursuit, as it suggests they may face an uphill battle to persuade the Brazilian to join their project.

Maintaining Focus Amid Transfer Speculation

Rodrygo’s ability and track record at the highest level make him an attractive target for any top side. While speculation about his future continues, Arsenal must decide whether to commit resources to pursuing a player who may already have his heart set on another club. At the same time, they must balance this with the potential opportunity to move for Eze, ensuring their summer business delivers the reinforcement needed to compete on all fronts.

Despite the rumours, the priority for the Gunners will be to focus on their targets and make strategic decisions that align with both their immediate ambitions and long-term squad planning.

  1. Eze is always the better option. He’s always wanted to come to us, I’m sure he would be pretty good on the left wing. Let Rodrygo go to the Scausers.

  2. When one remember not a single time the Brazilian was able to go by pass Lewis Skelly at the Bernabeu, you would think he would seized the opportunity to team up with the Englishman.

    1. I doubt any player would base a transfer decision that may effect the rest of his career on what happened in a single game.

If he eventually chooses Liverpool, and who knows, I imagine it will be because he thinks he has the best chance of more success there. At only 24, he’s already won 13 trophies at Real Madrid, including the CL twice, so he’s used to winning things.

  3. It really doesn’t matter whether Eze or Rodrygo joins Arsenal both are good
Choose the one that is more willing to come

  4. Rodrygo is a far more better option than Eze who is not a natural left winger, he plays as a midfielder for Crystal Palace. While Rodrygo is natural winger and an experienced one at that.

  5. I cant believe I’m saying this, but if we don’t buy any other attacker then I hope jesus resurrects soon then hopefully this time he won’t go back especially now that we have more robust squad, and for a fully fit jesus is better than all the attacker mentioned

    1. You’re very right my brother, if not because of the injury he had, he’s better than both attackers

  6. This story has got to be one of the most boring of the summer, and there’s been a few to be fare. For me the three are.

The first one was the Williams connection. That one was never a starter, as the player himself made it clear he wasn’t interested. Still it filled news columns.

The second is the Rodrygo rumours. Now apparently his preferred destination is Liverpool, that’s fare enough.

And the third is our continual connection with Eze, while I’d like the club to go for him. With still no concrete move being made, this along with the previous two mentioned players, has just become one massive yawn 🥱fest.

Am I the only one who feels this way?. 🙄

  7. If we don’t buy Eze or any other attacker in this window, then please do not sell Trossard. He has been playing in most of our games. Too good to let go IMO. But the decision not to sign Eze is really beyond me. To rely on Nwaneri instead on Eze is a big mistake. Nwaneri is for the future , but Eze might do an instant impacht right now. That’s what Arsenal need, if we going for the Premier League title this season.

  8. Odegaard , Nwaneri and Eze could rotate in our system. Arteta has to rotate his players more and that’s why squad depth iwith class players in imports t positions is needed.

    1. For me Eze is the best option for me and will be an excellent sign if Arsenal can land him at the emirate stadium by the window closes.. Eze is willing to sign if us and he is super experience with the way the Epl works.. He is the kind of player you buy and he starts running results.. Rodrygo is a fine player as well, but I did go for Eze 💯..

  9. What i see there if Arsenal has ability to buy Rodrygo or Eze let them buy before its too late, then they regrate the title going back to Liverpool or Man city.

  10. Is better arsenal bring in Eze , he understands the league better than Rodrigo, we need another good attacking midfielder in absence of Odegaard . Sign Eze as simple as that
