Mikel Arteta insists his team is ready to go against Spurs despite having less rest

Tottenham last played a match on April 13th, on the other hand, the Gunners played against Chelsea three days ago, which means they will have had just a few days of rest before facing Spurs on Sunday.

Arsenal is eager to compete for the Premier League title this season, making the game against Spurs a must-win for them.

Despite not having much rest, Arsenal has momentum, and their away form has been superb since the start of 2024.

This makes them favourites to win the game, and Arteta has no doubt that his players will give their best, regardless of whether they have had enough rest or not.

When asked if he would rather have two weeks off or four games in the same period of time, Arteta said, as quoted by the Daily Mail:’I don’t know.

‘What I can tell you is that the boys are going to be fully ready to go to play against a great opponent.’

Just Arsenal Opinion

Spurs will be formidable opponents, but it is a derby, and it usually does not count whether we have rested enough or not.

We expect our players to play their hearts out on the pitch and achieve a victory at all costs.

  1. Arsenal are already competing in the Premier League for to become the champions this season. And have been competing to win the title ever since this season’s title race began.
Let me add to say that in my immense belief that I have in the Gunners. And as they go in into the North London Derby match to play it away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at their new 60,000 plus full capacity Stadium.
Arsenal WILl BEAT Tottenham Hotspur 0-4 at the full-time of the match in the sight of the watching eyes of their partisan home crowd supporters.
And the beating of Spurs by Arsenal on next Sunday’s afternoon will come against the backdrop of Spurs not playing any competitive game but have been resting for over 2 weeks to become out of top form in the league.
This is as against Arsenal playing matches every 3 or 4 days intervals in top competitions. And as a result remain in top form eschewing fatigues to beat the out of top form Spurs team 0-4 on Sunday unfailingly.
And remain very much in the title win race and put pressure on Man City to fumble at away to Nothingham Forest and drop points. When they take them on later on Sunday.

  2. On paper Arsenal have the toughest weekend of the 3 title contenders. But you just never know with the other results, so hopefully they can do a job at Spurs and get the 3 points.

  3. Just what i also expect, the team are in a good place compared to Spurs, who lost in an embarrasing manner the last time they played two weeks ago, that’s a long time between a disappointing result you look to bounce back from, not an advantage mentally speaking. Hopefully we can cash in on that.
